Become a LawWorks SupporterLawWorks is a charity that provides free legal help to individuals and community groups who cannot afford to pay for it and who are unable to access Legal Aid. Legal assistance is provided by member firms in areas of civil law such as employment, debt, housing and consumer contract.What we provide • a network of nearly 100 legal advice clinics providing face-to-face advice • in-depth legal advice for individuals • advice on business law to more than 350 community groups and small charities each year • legal advice provided by email to advice agencies • free mediation where one party cannot afford to pay • support to law students to carry out pro bono advice through law school based projects • support and encouragement for solicitors to become school governors • volunteer opportunities in legal advice for solicitors who are not in paid work Join LawWorks as a Supporter for £23.50 each year* and receive: • a copy of the LawWorks newsletter for news from the world of pro bono - sent to you by email • advance notice of booking for conferences and events • the knowledge that you are supporting the work of LawWorks; for every £1 received, LawWorks generates around £10 of free legal advice Join the LawWorks Supporter Plus scheme for £70.50 a year* and receive the above benefits PLUS access to the LawWorks CPD-accredited training in social welfare law – around 40 hours of training per annum. * (rates apply for 2010 and include VAT) Download the application pack |
