On the Saturday, in addition to the session by Gabe Tan on investigations in the office and myself on the legal challenges to innocence project investigations special sessions will be delivered by Mark George QC (Garden Court North), Mark Newby (Solicitor Advocate and Director of the Historical Abuse Appeals Panel - HAAP) and leading investigative journalist and Director of the University of Strathclyde Innocence Project Dr Eamonn O'Neill on the value of fieldwork crime scene investigations.
The Conference will be closed with a plenary by John Cooper QC (25 Bedford Row).
As usual, there will be a drinks reception on the Friday evening from 7.30 p.m. onwards.
We are hoping that students with an interest in learning about wrongful convictions and how they might be challenged are able to join us for what will be a most productive and enjoyable event.
