Summary of Service
We provide advice and a complaint drafting service for tenants in social housing (local authority or housing association) to complain about housing disrepair. We can assist with stage 1 or 2 complaints to the social housing landlord, or a complaint to the Housing Ombudsman service or both if appropriate.
We do not provide advice to private tenants.
Housing Disrepair and allocations to social housing (tenants in council or housing association properties).
Please note we do not advise on tenants facing imminent eviction or homelessness, and we do not advise homeowners or landlords.
The service is provided in person so clients must travel to the City Law School unless they wish to have reasonable adjustments made for their disability, which we are happy to accommodate. If we interview clients by phone or online, clients must provide documents in advance of the appointment.
