CLEO LegalTech Workshop

In January LawWorks held a joint workshop with CLEO in Manchester on LegalTech in a clinical legal education setting.

Introduced by Claire McGourlay from the University of Manchester, the day started with a keynote speech from Alex Hamilton, founder of the LegalTech start-up Radiant Law. Two panel sessions followed on the practical implications of running and designing courses in LegalTech; and a discussion on the uses of Legal Tech to improve access to justice, with a focus on the work of clinics. Martin Barnes from LawWorks gave a presentation on Free Legal Answers, and Gareth Morgan of Ferret Information systems spoke about new products for clinics and advice agencies.
