What are you looking for volunteers to help with?
With so few local immigration lawyers, the University needs to find new ways of ensuring students are supervised. We are looking for suitably qualified supervisors who would work remotely to review interview notes and client documents, supervise students in client interviews, advise students on drafting suitable advice, and review that advice once written.
What will the time commitment be?
Reviewing an individual case generally takes no more than half a day in total. We normally ask for assistance with up to 5 cases a year but this is flexible.
What will volunteers get out of this?
Volunteers will get supervisory experience of students, and the opportunity to support a critical service for the community.
Person specification - what type of volunteers are you looking for?
Immigration lawyers with minimum 3 years PQE.
Application process - is there any information you would like applicants to provide?
Please email the Immigration Clinic at immigrationclinic@exeter.ac.uk if you are interested in learning more.
