Citizens Advice St Albans District (CASTAD) provides free, confidential and impartial advice. They campaign on a range of different issues in order to improve the policies and services that affect their clients by working closely with parliamentarians and assembly members to provide information about the problems their clients face.

Citizens Advice St Albans District are currently looking for Honorary Legal Advisers to to provide free legal advice on the phone.
What will the time commitment be?
Honorary Legal Advisers usually offer one evening per month on a rota agreed quarterly in advance, typically talking to 3-4 clients for pre-booked 30 minute appointments between 5 - 7pm on Thursday evenings.

Person specification - what type of volunteers are Citizens Advice St Albans District looking for?
Citizens Advice St Albans District are looking for barristers or solicitors with experience in Housing, Immigration, Employment, Wills and Probate or Family law. Solicitors will need a Practising Certificate but will be covered by our professional indemnity insurance.
