Discrimination in employment law: a brief overview

Delivered by John Sprack (barrister and former Employment Tribunal Judge), this session introduces the main features of discrimination law in employment.

The areas covered include:

  • The protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010
  • Direct and indirect discrimination, including the burden of proof in discrimination cases, enforcement and remedies
  • Harassment and victimisation
  • Reasonable adjustments for disability
