IntraLinks have kindly offered clinics registered with the LawWorks Clinics Network free* access to IntraLinks VDR ProTM, a secure document storage system. Clinics can use it to share documents, collaborate with other volunteers and restrict access to confidential client information.

Our agreement with IntraLinks is that clinics will only use the system for their pro bono activities and not for any other purposes, for example the system cannot be used in relation to paid-for advice.
While indefinite use of the service cannot be guaranteed, IntraLinks view this as a long term partnership. However, should their offer be withdrawn in the future, Intralinks will work with LawWorks to ensure that any transition period is sufficient to give clinics the opportunity to extract their data and make alternative arrangements.

Intralinks use the terms exchange & VDR interchangeably. Both terms refer to an individual client file.

Use of Intralinks will be free for a clinic if all their exchanges are less than 250MB in size and closed within 12 months of the date they were opened.
Once an exchange is closed, Intralinks must completely wipe it from their system within 60 days. Prior to closing an exchange, clinics will need to order an archive copy of the exchange (this is done on the platform). The archive can either be a USB version or a link to an online archive. Clinics receive one free archive version of an exchange by USB or by a link.
For any exchange exceeding 250MB in size, the clinic will be charged £1 per MB for every MB over the 250MB threshold.
e.g. if a clinic exchange is 271MB, they would be charged £21 for the 21MB over the 250MB threshold.
For any exchange open longer than 12 months and sized between 0 – 250MB, the clinic will be charged a monthly extension fee of £62.50 (250 x 0.25). For any exchange open longer than 12 months with a size exceeding 250MB, the clinic will be charged a monthly extension fee of the file size x 0.25.
e.g. if the file is 262MB, the monthly extension fee will be £65.50 (262 x 0.25).
For any additional copies of an exchange archive USB or link, the clinic will be charged £100 per copy.
